Dr. Bruce Forster

Dr. Bruce ForsterDr. Forster is a professor and vice-chair (research) at UBC’s Department of Radiology. He is also the head of MRI, Vancouver Coastal Region, and the imaging manager for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics/Paralympics.

His published works include over 70 scientific abstracts and papers on radiology topics in the peer-reviewed literature, and more than 50 educational scientific exhibits on MRI and CT.

Dr. Forster is an Associate Member of the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre, and has been involved in the clinical, education, and research aspects of sports imaging for 16 years. He is Associate Editor of the journals Radiology and British Journal of Sports Medicine, and is on the Honorary Editorial Board of Open Access Journal of Sports Medicine. Currently, Dr. Forster serves as diagnostic imaging consultant for the Vancouver Canucks, and has previously served as consultant for the NBA and in elite amateur sports (although his own record in such sports is definitely checkered!).
